Turismo: Aren't you using a PMS unit or something? Perhaps that let's you alter the fuel curve to make up for the lack of an OE FPR.

On another note, I just re-read Rafe's directions for his fuel bypass gizmo. Unfortunately, I don't have a drill press (which seems required), so paying $160 for the AEM regulator is probably the way I'll have to go if running without the OR FPR won't work right.

    Holden:

I am using the PMS but with the 380's it didn't need much "off boost" input even with this low of pressure due to the ammount the injectors were dumping in.

I could see that with 310's or similar size this may be too low but then again I'm not certain.

Heres a quote from Jim on an e-mail I got from him on this topic and his setup:

I am currently using NO OE regulator at all... only the Cartech with a
baseline static pressure of 34 psi. BTW, I am using Venom 320's in the
car. I am experiencing a small "Flat" spot under Mid to High throttle
input around the 4500 to 5000 mark... other than this, there seems to be
no negative effects. Since you have the ability to TUNE your
fuel/timing settings, I do not see any reason why you cannot resolve
    this small obstacle.
The bottleneck in the OE fuel system IS the OE regulator... I have a
GSS-342 pump in my car and my minimum fuel pressures, with the Cartech
only, is 19 psi !!! I am currently adjusted to 22 psi at idle on
vaccuum. My peak pressure under full boost is only 44 psi.

    Jim

    Hope it helps.
